Yes. Setup needs a parent's consent, the parent area is PIN-protected, and we collect the bare minimum — never your child's surname, phone or address.

Does it just give away answers?

Brainero has no database. Your child's nickname, grade, chats, scores and any homework photos are stored on this device only. We cannot see them, and they are not uploaded to our servers.
What we collect: a first name or nickname, the grade and curriculum, the subjects chosen, and a parent's email address for consent. We never ask for the child's surname, phone number, email or address.
Anonymous usage counts: we use privacy-friendly, cookieless analytics that count things like how many people start a lesson or finish a quiz. These are just numbers that help us improve Brainero — never your child's name, their work, their messages, or anything that identifies you, and nothing is linked to a person.
What leaves the device: only the question your child asks (and a homework photo if they send one), passed to our AI provider so it can answer. We ask the provider not to keep or train on it.
Parental consent: a parent or guardian sets up the account and confirms consent before a child can use Brainero, as required by COPPA (US) and the DPDP Act (India).
Deleting everything: Profile → Settings → Reset App Data erases the profile, every chat and every photo from this device immediately.
